She felt the cart jolt slightly with his weight, an eyebrow twitching. She pulled the cart to a sharp stop. Standing up on her seat as she looked over the bodies at him. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you…” she spoke in a low tone as a black liquid began pushing onto her cheeks like roots, horns protruding from her head as her hands grew to claws.
"I hope you’ve written a will." She added. with a grin, her eyes falling from a yellow colour to a red. "Not that it would matter, you’ve just guaranteed a slow painful death for yourself and anyone that you have so much an ounce of care for."
He had pulled out both of his guns by the time she stopped, knowing that whatever would follow now would get ugly pretty quick. And how right he had been. The so to speak transformation worried him more than it scared him - had Charlotte always possessed such a power? He should have asked. Asking was what he normally did when he was around the beautiful lady.
He decided that now wasn’t a time to ask questions. It was a time to act, and so he did.
"Sorry, but I’m not thinking ‘bout dying yet… I want a nice house, pretty much like yours. Maybe we can have an arrangement?" he said, once again having this grin on his face, taunting her. It was a decision made up out of the lack of true ideas how to handle the situation. He didn’t want to hurt his friend, even if she was… fucking crazy.
Once he had jumped back she stood herself up properly, glaring at him. “…Don’t touch me.” she hissed venomously. Unfortunately he had caught her in a bad mood, and in this form, her bad moods were far more exaggerated.
She moved back off over to the cart, sitting to lead the horses. She was taking the bodies to the field not far, to burn them.
She had always been a girl with temper, but what happened a few seconds ago made him overthink the whole situation. Something happened with the vampire he knew, and he felt obligated to find out what exactly it was. And so the man did the only thing that was logically for now - after she left and hopped onto the car, he did the same - joining the corpses on the back of it. He didn’t know whether she knew that he tagged along, but for now he decided to keep silent no matter what.
The minute he yanked his arm up she pulled it down before letting go which would cause him to pull his arm further up, leaving his ribs exposed, which she took a sharp three palm strike at, with hard enough force to break the ribs if he didn’t move. She was aiming to get him to stand back from her more than anything.
He inhaled sharply when the attack missed his arm, but couldn’t rest at all considering that three another blows were aimed at his ribs. He knew how strong Charlotte was, he had taken one of her smacks before - this was going to hurt if he wouldn’t be able to evade the attacks.
With a hissed “Fuck…!” he jumped back, barely evading the blows. The momentum of his jump made him tumble a bit, but after a short moment he had regained balance and glared at the vampire. “That… wasn’t nice.”
The minute he grabbed her arm she grit her teeth. This one was short tempered. As quick as ever she brought her hand up on the arm he had grabbed, gripping his wrist tightly, almost digging her nails in as she spun around behind him, bringing her palm up to slam onto his elbow, an aim to break the arm at the elbow before she would let go of his wrist.
Years of combat had given the man extremely fast reflexes, and demonic powers only helped to improve those. They weren’t as fast as those of a vampire, but good enough to see the attack coming - and react according to it. Realizing that he wouldn’t be able to block the palm striking at his elbow from his current position, he did the next best thing that came to mind.
With a loud grunt, he grabbed the arm she was holding and yanked it upwards - risking the dislocating of it.

She looked to the three maids who all looked back before heading inside. She looked back to the man in front of her. A rather unamused look.
"Try not to call me honey again" She warned. "I gave you two chances. Is there something you are here for? If not I’d be careful if I were you." She lifted the bottom of her skirt as she made her way over to the carriage.
While he didn’t know what exactly was going on, Verasul could atleast tell that it wasn’t anything good - so he acted like his usual self, and more or less tried to oppose the vampire in his own way. “Who’s your master?” he asked, still trying to understand what exactly made his friend, or atleast that was what he called her, do such a thing.
He knew she had never liked it, but nevertheless he did reach for her arm and grabbed it. Not too tightly, but strong enough to make her notice him wanting her to stop.
"What the fuck happened, Charlotte?" he asked rather blunt, trying to make her turn around.
She stared, watching him cautiously. “…I’ve never met you. Perhaps you have me and my master confused.” She explained, looking back to the maids piling the beheaded bodies up on a cart. “An easy mistake.” she added. She’d forgive his trespassing for now.
The sight of the heads had been one thing, but the bodies themselves… He even recognized one of the maids he talked with the last time he had visited the vampire’s little playground. Seeing her lifeless body was… troubling for the mercenary. She had been a nice person, somebody who hadn’t need to die. That, and the mentioning of a ‘master’ made his smile slowly dissipate.
"I’m starting to get confused here, honey…"
"I pop my head into this place and this is the first thing I see…? Geez. Talk about having bad luck."
She looked over. “…. And who the hell are you. What business do you have?” Yellow optics looked over, a hint of red to them as she stared. Sharper teeth than normal. “Unless it’s important expect your head to be the next one to go up.”
In response to her thread he merely crossed his arms behind his back, giving the woman a rather amused look, despite the circumstances. It had been months since he saw Charlotte for the last time, and seeing the vampire in such a condition… Maybe it was him going insane, but he couldn’t help but grin at the things she said.
"Don’t remember me, huh? Hit your head on a rock or something?"
